Class 1 - Making Bread Rolls

Making Bread Rolls  This term, Class 1 have been learning all about the Great Fire of London. The children discovered that the fire started in Thomas Farriner’s bakery and they explored how quickly it spread across the city.

To make their learning even more hands-on, they had a fantastic time baking their own bread rolls with help from Mrs Regan, the school chef. They learned about the key ingredients needed to make bread and each child rolled their own roll, which they were able to take home and enjoy.

The children now know not only the story of the Great Fire, but also how bread is made—a delicious way to bring history to life!
